Commentary: This print depicts a violent confrontation between members of the Mexican Communist Party (PCM) and the fascist, xenophobic, and antisemitic Acción Revolucionaria Mexicanista (ARM), also known as the Camisas Doradas, in the Zócalo of Mexico City on November 20, 1935. The figure on the left, fallen from his horse, is Nicolás Rodríguez (1890-1940), the leader of the ARM. (Peter Schneider)
