Cataloging notes: The image is based on a Casasola photograph. 

A photo exists of Méndez with the printer José Sánchez pulling an impression from the press at the TGP.

A photomechanical reproduction was used for the cover of the TGP portfolio ¡Viva Zapata! 20 Grabados, published c. 1979. The image is also one of the plates in the portfolio. Zapata faces right on the cover and the plate.
