Commentary:  This print is from a series of 11 etchings depicting traditional festivals in small villages in the state of Tabasco. It depicts the interior of the Ermita de San Francisco del Pial in the village of Quintín Aráuz, Municipio de Centla, where votive ships hang from the ceiling. Other etchings in the series depict the exterior of the church and the Danza del Caballito Blanco, danced there every July 4. (Peter Schneider)

Este grabado forma parte de una serie de 11 grabados que representan fiestas tradicionales en pequeños pueblos del estado de Tabasco. Representa el interior de la Ermita de San Francisco del Pial, en el pueblo de Quintín Aráuz, municipio de Centla, donde cuelgan del techo barcos votivos. Otros grabados de la serie representan el exterior de la iglesia y la Danza del Caballito Blanco, que se baila allí cada 4 de julio. (Peter Schneider)
